Casey Elementary Celebrates "A" Rating on Mississippi Academic Assessment Program
September 18, 2024 - Casey Elementary stood out as a beacon of excellence on the Mississippi Academic Assessment Program, earning an impressive “A” rating on the statewide assessment. This achievement highlights the school’s unwavering commitment to academic success and innovative learning practices.
The district as a whole saw areas of growth, with science proficiency increasing by 0.5% and significant gains in math proficiency across several grade levels, including 5th grade (3.6%), 6th grade (3.8%), and 8th grade (5.1%). These improvements occurred despite the challenges faced during the school year, demonstrating resilience and determination district-wide.
Casey Elementary’s success is a testament to the power of its arts-integrated curriculum, which not only fosters creativity but also enhances critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
