December 20, 2024 - Just before the holiday break, 3rd-5th graders at Casey Elementary School took center stage for a Strings Performance that left parents beaming with pride. The event, held in front of a packed audience of over a hundred proud family members, showcased the students’ impressive progress in the school’s Strings program.

With standing room only, each grade level demonstrated their skills on instruments such as the viola, cello, and other stringed instruments. Parents held up their cell phones, capturing every moment and cheering in awe as the young musicians played with confidence and poise.

"This performance was magical," said Shandolyn Russell, Casey mom and PTA President. "It’s incredible to see how much they've learned in a short amount of time and the joy they bring to everyone in the room."

The performance was a testament to the dedication of Casey’s students and the effectiveness of the school’s music program, which emphasizes discipline, creativity, and collaboration. Events like this highlight the value of arts education and the transformative experiences it provides for students.

"The Strings program is such an important part of what makes Casey Elementary special," said Principal Vanessa Dean. "Watching our students perform with such enthusiasm and skill is a wonderful reminder of the power of music to inspire and unite our community."
