New Stage Theatre Education Presented Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type at Casey Elementary

New Stage Theatre Education Presented Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type at Casey Elementary

March 10, 2023

On March 10, 2023, New Stage Theatre presented an in-school performance of Click Clack Moo: Cows that type at Casey Elementary in Jackson, MS as part of the New Stage Theatre Arts-in-Education statewide touring program. Click Clack Moo: Cows that type was presented for 176 students in kindergarten through third grade at 9:30 a.m.

Barnyard animals that claim the barn is too cold for comfort? Based on the children’s book by Doreen Cronin, this musical comedy explores themes of standing up for yourself, working together, and the art of negotiation. The Cows, Hen, and Duck try to communicate with Farmer Brown, but she cannot understand cow’s moos, the cackle of chickens or the quack of the duck. They work all day to provide milk and eggs, but when their request for electric blankets to warm the drafty barn is ignored, action must be taken. Join the barnyard animals — and their trusty typewriter— as they engage in peaceful protest to improve their working conditions. Directed by Sharon Miles, Education Consultant at New Stage, Click Clack Moo: Cows that type is performed by New Stage’s Professional Associate Artist Company members RaKaela Thompson, Claire Porter, Lindsey Neville, Timothy Magee and Austin Russell.
