Casey scholars participated in a children's literacy initiative sponsored by the MS Book Festival in the month of September. Scholars enjoyed a presentation by award winning performer Mr. Steve Azar and award-winning author Sarah Francis Hardy. Scholars received a signed copy of the "One Mississippi.

Students at Casey enjoy learning through the arts because Casey is a Model Whole School. Students use dance, drama, visual arts, and music to learn more about academic content and enrich the learning experience.
