Strings Overview

The strings program at Casey Elementary is a partnership with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, offering group strings classes to students from 3rd to 5th grade. Students meet once a week for strings class where they learn the fundamentals of playing their instrument and participate in culminating performances that showcase what they have learned. The strings program is an opportunity for students to work together, develop discipline, and think critically. It offers a creative outlet for students, and is an essential class for their cognitive development.
